I am basically writing to find out about your opinion on which car is the best car for Pakistan in terms of
1) Driving
2) Racing
3) Safety
4) Cost efficient
5) Luxury
Please feel free to contribute with your highlights on your favorite car/cars.
My all time favorite was the Honda Civic 1995 (Cat Eyes) in silver. It was the first car that actually implemented the vtec technology of Honda and showcased a push button air-conditioning panel!!! It was the perfect car for a trip to the grocery and then a quick race back home. And best of all, it was the most easy modifiable car in Pakistan.
Now my favorite is Vitz 2005. Driving a pleasure, racing very responsive, dual airbags, 12 km/liter with A.C, and fully automatic.

hey taha, the 95 civic did not feature VTEC technology, it was a plain carburretor engine..Back in its time, it sure was the fastest locally assembled 'beast' ;). If you like the 2005vitz, you'll love the 2004 and pre versions even better (primarily due to the 4 cylinder engine being very smooth and responsive)
ReplyDeleteThe 95 was a carb engine?!?!?! I remember the engine stated Vtec on the headers...about the vitz, I agree that the 04 has 4 cylinders...but the looks of the 05 vitz beats the older ones any day. The older one looks more roundish, and the 05 looks for prototype like...
ReplyDeletei think as these days fuel prices, n road conditions r too bad to hv luxury cars, the more time i go to gas station, i start making planning tht next time i ll care more to consume less gas.. and the more digs i see on karachi road the more i feel pain when ever any of my car tire goes in. anyhow i may b out of topic but thinks that ppl thinks more luxury than engine technology, only youngster thinks abt technology.

ReplyDeleteThe 95 civic shape (aka Ferio) was imported into Pakistan before actual local production took place. A few characteristics of it are:
ReplyDelete1) 1300 CC EFI engine unlike its local counterpart
2) Sunroof
So maybe you're confusing the local with the jdm varient :).
To further elaborate, the 95 civic shape (aka dolphin in local lingo) which came in japan featured the D15B engine having VTEC technology. It was commonly available here now in Shershah and is highly recommended to be swapped in once the stock engine gives way. Also headers are part of the exhaust system, the engine code etc are located most often on the engine block.
The 05 Vitz coming in 1300CC has a proper 4 cylinder engine, so that varient gets my vote :)
